The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was established in 1984 to help find missing children, reduce kid sexual exploitation, and preclude child victimization. NCMEC provides services for families, victims, child-serving professionals, schools, law enforcement, individual manufacture, and communities to aid prevent abducted, endangered, and sexually exploited children and to deter and combat exploitation. Pursuant to its mission NCMEC serves as a clearinghouse of data relating to missing and exploited children, operates a CyberTipline, provides technical assist and resource to police enforcement in cases of domestic and international child abduction, provides family support, and offers extensive training and outreach programs on kid rubber.
